Snow Day in Athens, GA!

Fauna of Whitehall Forest. For more of my nature photographs, visit Jane Ullah Photography’s Nature section!

Too awesome to not post! A picture of my husband in pain! :) not really, but he’s a goofball.

Photos taken at Whitehall Forest which is maintained by the Warnell School of Forestry at UGA. It was cloudy, but I found settings that worked and I shot in RAW. Interestingly, most of my edits ended up looking like the .jpg files generated (I had my D90 set to shoot in RAW + JPEG). Hope you enjoy! :)

I attended a class two days ago where I heard this: the difference between an amateur and a professional is the size of his/her waste basket and then, later in the day, I saw this link that showed the stages of photography. I’ll be brutally honest and call myself an amateur, but I recognize that and I’m willing to learn so all isn’t lost. :P In the spirit of pushing the envelope and taking better pictures, I’ll start taking photographs of un-pretty things. This means, no flowers or cute dogs. Cheers and I’ll leave you with my last flower pick!
PS: If you like pretty flowers, check out my gallery of photos taken at UGA Trial Gardens!

I thought this was pretty cool. Shot with my Nikon 50mm f/1.8D lens and my trusty D90, no flash and the ISO was at 200. Lighting and company were perfect! As it was, this was at Ursula and Joe’s wedding. Click through to view the rest of their wedding album. I’m accepting bookings so call (706-621-6197) or email me!
